A lot of blood. The blood of your enemies. In your quest to annihilate the forces of Hell, you will shoot, punch, burn, and explode every last demon, freeing them of their ichor and internal organs in gleeful, glorious gore.
If you need a break from exploding demons real good in DOOM or punch-stabbing terrorists in the face in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided , consider a more leisurely game for crushing enemies: the 4X strategy game Master of Orion: Conquer the Stars. Master of Orion: Conquer the Stars is the latest iteration of another PC gaming classic the original Master of Orion being released in Granted, it won't even remotely task the Alienware 15 much, but it's a great counterweight to the faster-paced games on this list, and you'll make use of the Alienware 15's touchscreen.
Explore the universe, expand your empire, and conquer the galaxy--through diplomacy or through your galactic armada of planet-killing super weapons. It's a solid choice in the 4X genre--and if you don't lose enough sleep to it, look for Sid Meier's Civilization VI to drop October 21st, Might as well call in sick that week.
Battlefield games have always been demanding, based upon large-scale multiplayer battles strewn across complex warzones where nearly everything is destructible. Don't like the building where the enemy is hiding? Jump in a tank and blow it up! Ride horses into battle and glory. Or run them over with a tank too. And to that end you can drive or fly virtually anything--including those old-timey iron boxes on wheels called "tanks" and the motorized kites with machine guns strapped to them called "airplanes", which barely had any more right to be capable of flight than the humble bumblebee.
Of course, you can play it "safe" as an infantryman and hoof it across rubble-strewn battlefields hoping to make it to the next trench--and avoid your enemies in the tanks, or the ones strafing you from the air.
You can even ride horses, fight with swords, and throw grenades--and dynamic weather effects such as fog and rain can force you to alter tactics and keep you guessing, even in maps you're familiar with. Battlefield 1 is technically optimized more for AMD cards, but the Nvidia GeForce will still plow through frame rates and deliver top performance. The Alienware 15 doesn't just shred frame rates on its It can tear it up in virtual reality too--and what better way to enjoy that than running and screaming for your life on Island Imagine if the Turok: Dinosaur Hunter game and the Jurassic Park movies had a virtual reality baby, and that's basically what Island is.
Drop onto an island from a helicopter armed to the teeth, and then run screaming from things with a lot more and pointier teeth than you have. Are dinosaurs intelligent? Do they hunt in packs? Did I bring enough ammo? What does it really feel like to be eviscerated by a pack of Velociraptors? Can a video game make you scream? Answer all of these questions in Island , which is currently available as a Steam Early Access game. I've got the i7 11th gen which shouldn't create any bottlenecks.
I've got the latest drivers and even did a clean install. Messed around with GPU scheduling, prioritize the game in Nvidia control panel for high performance. Still only getting fps at high settings. Going to low in p I'll probably be getting 45 to 68 FPS with massive frame drops. Lowering to p sees a very small boost but still nonetheless incredible frame drops and stuttering. It would be nice if Dell Alienware reached out to Nvidia or even the team at EA to include our hardware optimization.
I've tried everything to make it run a little bit better but it's almost virtually unplayable. I'm playing on a external monitor with the latest bios and the muck switch is off. The frame drops are on both the external and laptop screens? It's auto-sensing All MS updates are completed? Did it EVER operate properly?
You need to make sure to go inside of Origin and select the repair game files option. I forgot what the website was but when your watching the video to see my settings. Browse Community. Dell Community : Laptops : Alienware : x17 R1, , atrocious performance in battlefield Turn on suggestions.
